Coffee story
From blossom to drying yard.
Guests' views are that of coffee from bean to cup the moment they enter the property.
Each spring, coffee trees burst into delicate white blossoms that fill the estate with a sweet jasmine-like fragrance. These short-lived flowers mark the beginning of a new harvest, eventually transforming into the coffee cherries that produce every bean.
After flowering, the young coffee cherries emerge as small green fruits. Over several months they slowly mature, drawing nutrients from the tree and developing the complex sugars and flavours that define the quality of the final cup.
When the cherries reach a deep, vibrant red, they are perfectly ripe and ready for harvesting. Each cherry is carefully hand-picked at peak maturity to ensure only the finest beans continue their journey.
Once harvested, the beans are carefully dried under controlled conditions to reduce moisture while preserving their natural character. This crucial stage develops stability, enhances flavour, and prepares the coffee for storage and roasting.
Roasting unlocks the bean's true personality. Heat transforms the carefully cultivated green coffee into richly aromatic beans, revealing layers of sweetness, body, and flavour unique to the estate.
From blossom to brew, every step is guided by patience, craftsmanship, and respect for the land. The result is a cup that captures the journey of each bean and the character of the estate in every sip.

YohStay is positioned within the heart of Wodgal Estate, a 400 acre working coffee and pepper estate situated near Sakleshpur. The property is the primary experience, surrounded on three sides by a river, filled with different coffee varieties, ample shade trees, surrounded by nature, an infinity pool, quiet lawns and the main property nestled into the landscape.
